Adidas Matchbreak Super 'Shin Sanbongi' Shoes

As the highest quality vulcanised footwear style ever produced by adidas skateboarding, these Matchbreak Super 'Shin Sanbongi' Shoes deliver a high level of contemporary performance with a seamless-feel liner, Adituff toebox and moulded adiPRENE sockliner. The uppers are made from smooth white leather with burgundy and metallic silver accents on either side panel which adds signature adidas three stripe decoration and a curved heel tab for added durability. Around the toe vamp and laces border cream coloured suede has been selected to protect two key high-stress areas and has a subtle textured surface. The white cotton lace up fastening threads between silver eyelets on top of a white half mesh tongue with a leather section above where an embossed trefoil emblem has been printed. On the outer side of the foot gold metallic capitalised ‘Sanbongi’ lettering has been printed below an adidas logo to signify the collaborative design. Within the shoe a soft leather border wraps around the inner edge of the ankle and an Adi-Zone liner protects the foot from impact. Underfoot the vulcanised rubber outsole stands up to repetitive wear and higher foxing tape gives the shoe a low profile stance to reduce stress on the uppers. A grip-focused multidirectional tread completes the design.

Introduced for SS20 the adidas Matchbreak Shoes have been designed with a combination of elements taken from archival adidas footwear styles blended with contemporary performance focused details that together provide a premium finish with distinctly adidas decoration. This edition has been designed in collaboration with pro rider Shin Sanbongi who grew up in Chigasaki, Japan and is known for his easy going cruise surf inspired skate style which has earned him parts in Polar Skate Co.’s ‘We Blew It At Some Point’.
